So yeah, I’m going back to Athens, finally- to gather my things and face the music (on so many different levels). This is going to be a physically and emotionally heavy trip. With all willing, I shall return Friday afternoon, hopefully to set my new life in motion.

About 10 days ago I was at the beach surfing when a wave threw me to the bottom, forcing my head into the ocean floor- while the wave carried my legs over my body. Just after that happened, (I could feel something tearing in my neck) the undercurrent also came from the side, causing my neck to pivot- making it even worse. I could barely move my neck, couldn’t sleep- and at 8:00am I called my chiropractor and they had me come in. Just from looking at me he was kind of concerned, so he went ahead and took some x-rays. He wasn’t happy with them, so they sent me over to a place to have an MRI. Long story short- they were afraid I fractured my neck in a bad spot, but fortunately I just tore a bunch of ligaments and threw some disks out of whack or something… I don’t know I was just glad my neck wasn’t broken. Anyways, moving right along, I had some “sitting” time. I used some of this time to start and finish a project I had been wanting to do for some time.
A few months ago, I was looking over some video clips a friend of mine had taken on a trip from Savannah to Athens back in the Spring. Winamp was running in the background and playing a list of music I had heard on Scrubs. This song came on and all of the sudden a spark went off in my head. I had to make a music video of our trip featuring Cary Brother’s song “Honestly”. Anyways, my neck injury gave me the sitting on my ass time I needed to finally get something like this accomplished. I used Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 Hell of a program by the way.
