As promised, here are some pictures of me and my nephew, Brent. The kid has already impacted my life tremendously and I’m so excited about getting to watch the little guy grow up.
Zelda is doing just fine. In fact, I think she’s a little spoiled.
I wish I could sleep like that.
Moving right along… I started back in school about… 9 hours ago. I’m actually very excited about it. School didn’t work out so well for me, rather, I didn’t work out so well for school last semester, and I’m actually really happy to having something that I don’t want to do but have to that will keep me busy and on track. As last Spring prooved to me, having a mass of time on your hands and absolutely nothing to occupy it with can lead to a very shitty time in your life.
Speaking of busy:
Today I auditioned for what looks to be a very promising rising pop star. I don’t want to tell you too much about it yet, because nothing is set in stone, but my friend Aaron is currently playing drums for her band and they are looking for a rhythm guitarist / keyboard / vocalist to help add more sound to her live performances. It went really well and I’m pretty sure I “got the job” but like I said, it’s too soon for me to be getting anyone excited about me playing for a younger version of Britney Spears. I really don’t mean that in a degrading manner because the girl is actually quite talented. She has a very nice voice and her songs are catchy as hell… I just can’t say that it’s the kind of thing I listen to. Still, it’s an awesome opportunity and if all goes well, I’ll be traveling throughout the U.S. as part of her band, opening for names like Widespread Panic, Better Than Ezra, and Tyler Hilton (some of the people she’s opened for, the full list is actually even longer and more impressive). Anyways, I’m going to start practicing with the band this week, and hopefully I’ll be on the road (possibly near you) living the road life of a rock star- and from what Aaron tells me about their road trips, I’m not kidding.
Anyways, time to go … blah … study.
